Art of Appreciation

Baby cries for Milk, whereas Man cries for appreciation. Yes, it is so true that, everyone in this world would like to feel appreciated and important.  If someone tells me that, I don’t like appreciation, then I can tell confidently that, he is lying under the midday sunlight.

Below is the extract from my favorite book, "One small step can change your life - The Kaizen Way" written by Robert Maurer.

"Try asking your co-workers or friends: 'What makes you feel appreciated?' The resulting list is usually studded with free or low-cost items such as hearing the boss say “thank you,” receiving a compliment from a superior, or having someone bring them a cup of coffee when they’re working late".

Do you remember, when is the last time you have appreciated the person, who have helped you ? Most of us feel grateful, for the person who helps us, but we never express it. William Arthur Ward once beautifully said “Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it”. 

• Have you appreciated your wife, for giving you a hot cup of coffee, when you are busy working in your laptop ?
• Have you appreciated your husband, for spending hours of his valuable time, in shopping to select a beautiful dress for you ?
• Have you appreciated your children, for coming in your life to give immense happiness ?
• Have you appreciated your parents, for all their sacrifices ?
• Have you appreciated your brothers / sisters for their care and affection ? 
• Have you appreciated your friends, for giving his strong shoulders whenever you needed support ?
• Have you appreciated your maid, for keeping your house clean ?
• Have you appreciated your Apartment Security, for keeping your family secure ?
• Have you appreciated your colleague, for sharing your work load ?
• Have you appreciated your mentor, for guiding you in the proper direction ?
• Have you appreciated God, who is Divinely protecting you ?
• Have you appreciated “You”, for being unique ?

If the answer for any or all of the above questions is “NO”. It is never too late to show your gratitude to your beloved ones for coming in your life. Please pick your smartphone and send a “Thank you” note. Yes, we can use our Smartphone for something good also.

An Attractive God’s Gift (A True Story)

13-Feb-2019 | Wednesday | IT Park, Bangalore 

It was a busy Wednesday afternoon in my office. I don’t like Wednesdays, as I have lots of meetings and Conference call scheduled on this particular day, every week. 

I was going to "Tapti" Conference room to attend the weekly project status meeting with our company President. Suddenly, I saw a beautiful black and white standing picture of Lord Krishna in one of my colleague's cubicle. That Picture had some magnetic power and it have attracted me a lot. In one of my Bhagavad Gita classes, I have heard that the name Krishna means "All-Attractive". However, I could experience the real meaning of the name today, after seeing that picture. 

I have entered the conference room and occupied a comfortable seat. Even though my eyes were on the black Latitude Dell Laptop, my mind was still fixed with that picture. I thought within myself, "I need to go that person and ask to share the soft copy of the Photo, so that I can take a printout and paste it on my cubicle". 

Our president have arrived sharply at 3.00 PM and meeting have started asusual. After the meeting, I went back to my cubicle and was busy with my project asusual. 

Next day morning, I was busy composing a big mail to the testing team. I can write a book "Developers are from Jupiter and Testers are from Saturn” and I am sure that it will be listed as Amazon Best seller. Tester’s KPI is set as Quality, whereas Developers KPI is set as “Meeting the Deadline”.So, both of our philosophies and ideologies doesn't meet. However, for me handling a testing team is far easier when compared to handling my wife at home. 

During that time, my colleague, Prince Bhatia came to me and handed over an A3 black and white printout and asked me to paste it on my cubicle. I am surprised and excited to see that it is the same Lord Krishna’s photo that I have seen Yesterday. 

I asked him surprised "Prince, Where did you get this photo ?"

Prince told me that “Sirji, I have seen this photo in my friend’s cubicle and I liked it very much. I want to paste it my cubicle also. So, I asked him to share the soft copy. While giving print, I gave it as two. So, I thought of giving this extra print to you”. 

I whole heartedly thanked my friend for delivering the photo and I explained the incident that happened Yesterday afternoon before the meeting. 

I told him that "I am spellbound by the God’s mercy towards me"

Questions to Intellects : 

1. Who have implanted the thought in my colleagues mind to give two print out’s ? 

2. There are thousands of employees in our company, why did he selected me to give that extra print out ? 

3. There are thousands of Lord Krishna photo. Why the same photo that attracted me was delivered to me that too on the next day ? 

If you try to use your finite intelligence to find answers for the above questions, you will surely won’t get the answer. You are trying to understand the infinite intelligence (God) with your finite intelligence.

Be Positive - An Eggless Birthday Cake Story :

Positive Thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will - Zig Zaglar. 

Inspired by the teachings of Buddha, Mahaveer, Lord Krishna and Vallalar I have stopped eating Non-Veg including egg from 2012 onward. I used to avoid Chocolates, Cakes and other food products that have egg. Inspired by me and by God's blessings, my wife also stopped eating Non-Veg including egg. 
[ I haven't compelled her to STOP and I don't like compelling anyone to STOP ]

14-Aug[Sun] is my Wife's birthday. I would like to celebrate it with a lovely egg-less Butterscotch cake. On Sat[13-Aug], I started at 8.15 PM in a two wheeler to buy Egg-less Butterscotch cake in Salem. I was highly confident that it is easy to get egg-less cake in Salem. 

I first approached Saravana bakery [one of the famous bakeries in Salem] at 8.30 PM. Bakery in-charge informed that "Egg-less cake will be prepared only based on order and if you give order now, I can deliver it tomorrow[14-Aug] at 11.00 AM. He also informed that the shop will closed exactly at 9.00 PM due to Aadi festival and if required, you need to pay advance to book your cake". 

I ignored his words, thinking that egg-less cake will be easy to buy and then I started my journey to Lakshmi Bakery. I reached there around 9.20 PM and the person in-charge also informed that there is no egg-less cake. I am little dis-appointed and called my wife and informed that I am sorry that I could not arrange "Egg-less" cake.  

On the way back home, I approached Iyengar Bakery, who also informed that there is no Egg-less cake. By this time, I have realized that I should have Ordered in "Saravana Bakery" when the person have insisted to pay advance and book the cake. 

Let's pause for a minute, and I would like to inform that Saravana bakery, Lakshmi Bakery and Iyengar bakery have varieties of Egg cake for immediate delivery. However, I don't want to buy "Egg" cake at any cost, as I strongly believe in the words of my masters. 

On my way home, many thoughts are running in my mind including the thought "I am highly positive and I should get cake, how I didn't get it".  At 9.40 PM, When I was about to take right to my home, my inner voice guided me to "Be positive" and go straight to Saravana Bakery and try one more time [ I would like to remind you that the Saravana Bakery in-charge strictly informed that the shop will be closed by 9.00 PM ]. 

I would like to follow my hunch and give a final try before I quit my mission. I remembered a quote, "The difference between Ordinary and Extra-ordinary is that little extra". I am ready to go for a extra-mileage to fulfill my mission. 

By the time, the I reached Saravana Bakery, it is around 9.45 PM. All the doors are closed except the entrance. I parked my vehicle quickly and went inside the Bakery and all the employees are cleaning the whole shop. With a big smile on my face, I went to the cash counter and ordered my favorite "One kg Butterscotch Egg-less cake". 

On the way home, I remembered one more beautiful quote "Winners never Quit and Quitters never win" and it will be recorder as one more success story in my life for being positive and to try till the goal is reached. 

Next day, the Egg-less cake is delivered on-time and I am delighted to celebrate the birthday with an egg-less Butterscotch cake. 

Moral of the Story : 

• Be Optimistic in every situation. 
• You might also reach a junction in your life, where you need to take a decision to quit or try one time by being positive. I request you also to try one more time and it might bring success and transform your life completely.  

I watched my watch in my mind - Powers of Mind :

“Within your subconscious mind you will find the solution for every problem, and the cause for every effect - Joseph Murphy” 

In this article, I would like to narrate a real incident about, how I used my subconscious mind to find my lost watch. After becoming a happy Zen, I started loving everyone and everything including the non-living things like my car, bike, mobile, laptop, home, etc.

In particular, I love my beautiful Casio watch. I won't leave my house without my watch. If I don't wear my watch then, I get a feeling that "I miss something".

One fine day in my office, I have lost my watch. I have searched in almost all the places in my office. Unfortunately, my search went in a vain and I am not able to find my watch.

Suddenly, I remembered an incident from the book "The power of subconscious mind" written by Dr.Joseph Murphy. In that book, the author have explained how a young man have found the lost will ( A legal asset document) written by his father, by using the subconscious mind. 

Initially, all the attempts by the young man to find the will, was not success. 
However, as per the guidance from Dr.Joseph Murphy, the Young man gave the command to the mind as "I now turn this request over the subconscious mind. It knows where the will is, and reveals it to me". Next morning, this young man got an hunch to visit a specific bank in Los Angeles, where he found his will. 

I have used the same technique and found my loving watch, as explained below.

• Step 1: I have sat in comfortable position and closed my eyes.
• Step 2: I have taken 5 deep breaths to go to Alpha state. ( It is when the subconscious mind is highly active)
• Step 3: I command my subconscious mind as "I trust in the power of my subconscious mind. I command it to show me the location of my watch".
• Step 4: Within couple of seconds, I could clearly see in my mind that my watch is lying on top of the table in our conference room called "Tapti".
• Step 5: At around 7.30 PM on the same day, I have requested my colleague Suhail, to check the conference room(Tapti) for my watch, as I have already left office.
• Step 6: Unfortunately, Suhail informed that there is no watch in the conference room.
• Step 7: Next day I have asked the "Lost and Found" section in the security department about my Casio watch.
• Step 8: With a cute smile, the security person informed that they have recently found a watch. 
• Step 8: Hurray, I found my loving watch. Most interesting part of the story is that, in the security records it is mentioned that, the watch is found in "Tapti" conference room which I have watched in my mind. 
• Step 9: I thanked my subconscious mind with a big smile.

It is a well known fact that our subconscious mind have all the information from our birth.It is 30,000 times more powerful than our conscious mind. If you can master your subconscious mind, you can do many more magics and miracles in your life. 

Law of Attraction - How I attracted my Chips ?

If you are one of the persons who doubts the Law of Attraction, I would like to narrate a real incident about how I attracted my chips. One sunny noon, while I am riding my bike Salem, I have seen a road side chips vendor preparing hot and spicy chips. As I was in the middle of the heavy traffic I could not buy it. However I have delivered my desire of eating chips to the universe.

Within 6 hours the universe have delivered the chips that I have requested. My uncle have brought the same chips on the same day evening. It might be a miracle for you. However for me who knows the fundamentals of the law of universe, it is not a surprise as I manifest magics and miracles daily. 

How this Law worked ? 

• Step 1 : When I asked universe about chips, the message is mixed in the cosmos.
• Step 2 : It searches for the exact person and situation to manifest it.
• Step 3 : The message have been implanted in my uncle's mind by the universe when he went out in the evening. 
• Step 4 : Message which is implanted in my uncle's mind, have made him to see the chips vendor preparing hot chips. 
• Step 5 : He brought home the same chips which I have asked the Universe.

I have tried it as one of the Law of Attraction energy experiment based on the book "E-Squared: Nine Do-It-Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your of Reality" written by Pam Grout. 

Same law can be used to manifest any of your desire. However, the universe might deliver it based on the FAITH and the size of the request. In some case, you need have PATIENCE to manifest your desire.

I have manifested many things after understanding this beautiful law of universe "Ask. Believe. Receive". Dream big and ask the universe with love and faith and get it delivered on-time every time.
