RCB - Courage to Continue :

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts - Winston Churchill"

Anyone who have failed continuously can get inspiration from the team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). In the IPL Season 2019, from the match one, the stars are not in favor of RCB. Yes, RCB have lost many close matches. They are in the last position with six continuous Losses.

Courtesy - iplt20.com

However, in the match seven against King XI Punjab, they have bounced back like a Super Hero. King XI Punjab have batted first and scored a massive 173/4 in 20 Overs. Gayle (King XI Punjab) have attacked all the bowlers mercilessly and scored 99* runs in 64 balls.

RCB started their batting with a positive note, with no trace of past failures in their mind. A special note of appreciation to the talented ABD and Kohli, who have kept the RCB fans hope alive throughout the match. RCB have a last smile, and won it comfortably by 8 Wickets in the last over.

Next time when you are failing continuously, think about RCB, you will surely get inspiration from these Men in Red. As Jaime Escalante once said "Life is not about how many times you fall down. It's about how many times you get back up"

Art of Appreciation

Don't forget, a person's greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated - Jackson Brown

Baby cries for Milk, whereas Man cries for appreciation. Yes, it is so true that, everyone in this world would like to feel appreciated and important.  If someone tells me that, I don’t like appreciation, then I can tell confidently that, he is lying under the midday sunlight.

Below is the extract from my favorite book, "One small step can change your life - The Kaizen Way" written by Robert Maurer.

"Try asking your co-workers or friends: 'What makes you feel appreciated?' The resulting list is usually studded with free or low-cost items such as hearing the boss say “thank you,” receiving a compliment from a superior, or having someone bring them a cup of coffee when they’re working late".

Do you remember, when is the last time you have appreciated the person, who have helped you ? Most of us feel grateful, for the person who helps us, but we never express it. William Arthur Ward once beautifully said “Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it”.

  • Have you appreciated your wife, for giving you a hot cup of coffee, when you are busy working in your laptop ?
  • Have you appreciated your husband, for spending hours of his valuable time, in shopping to select a beautiful dress for you ?
  • Have you appreciated your children, for coming in your life to give immense happiness ?
  • Have you appreciated your parents, for all their sacrifices ?
  • Have you appreciated your brothers / sisters for their care and affection ?
  • Have you appreciated your friends, for giving his strong shoulders whenever you needed support ?
  • Have you appreciated your maid, for keeping your house clean ?
  • Have you appreciated your Apartment Security, for keeping your family secure ?
  • Have you appreciated your colleague, for sharing your work load ?
  • Have you appreciated your mentor, for guiding you in the proper direction ?
  • Have you appreciated God, who is Divinely protecting you ?
  • Have you appreciated “You”, for being unique ?

If the answer for any or all of the above questions is “NO”. It is never too late to show your gratitude to your beloved ones for coming in your life. Please pick your smartphone and send a “Thank you” note. Yes, we can use our Smartphone for something good also.

Amazon Prime - 'God Friended Me' Review

28-Feb-2019 | WhatsApp

Siva have recommended us to watch Amazon Prime series "God Friended Me"
in our 'Lunch & Herbal Tea Chats' WhatsAPP group. Siva's message reads "Go(o)d Watch. Fully about positivity and destiny. It is like our Baba's tea time preaching". 'Lunch & Herbal Tea Chats' is my company friends WhatsAPP group dedicated to alert the people for Lunch and Tea, who are busy working. However, it also pops up some messages and recommendations based on our hot discussions. I would like to inform my dear readers that the discussions that happens with a hot cup of coffee is called as hot discussions and nothing else as your beautiful mind thinks.

Lunch and Tea breaks are one of the key motivating factors for me to go office, as we laugh heartily non-stop. I strongly believe that "A Good laugh and a Cup of Herbal tea are the best cures for anything".

If you are wondering who is the Baba in the above message, it is none other than me, The Happy Zen. Yes, I give lots of free Gyan sessions about Positivity and Spirituality to my fellow colleagues during Lunch and Tea time.

If you notice our WhatsAPP group in the above image, I have purposefully set the group image as Fruits and I have changed the group name to Herbal Tea.You should not be surprised, if my friends call me as Baba Premdev.

I want be become a Meditational and Motivational speaker like Suki Sivam, Mr.Nagore Rumi,Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, etc after achieving my financial freedom. So I utilize the Lunch and Tea time as a Golden opportunity to practice my speech with my friends. I usually start my speech by telling them that 'You are so lucky that you are getting all my Gyan free of cost, in future you need to listen my Gyan only by buying the ticket in bookmyshow for a heavy price'. If I become a successful speaker in future, I owe them a lot for lending their ears patiently to all the inspiring stories that I tell.

However Siva doesn't want me to become a Motivational Speaker, instead he wants me to become a Baba and he would like to join my Ashram in future. I still don't know his good intentions for asking me to become a Baba, if you know, please let me know the reason in the below comment. I can think about this option also, if it is fruitful based on your feedback.

Now let's come to our original story of "God Friended me" recommendations by Siva. As I am proud member of FOLK ( Friend of Lord Krishna) community, the title "God Friended Me" have got my immediate attention. Even though I am not a big fan of English serials, I would like to give it a try as there is God in the title name and Siva recommended it. Yes, me and Siva fights a lot about God. I support God's existence, whereas he questions God's existence. Most of the time, the conversation ends without any conclusion, as God can only be experienced and not to be explained.

After watching the first episode of "God Friended me", I am spellbound . I thought to myself "Does such good serials with positive plots also exists in this Kali Yuga. Hari Bol ?". I felt as if it is God, who have sent His message through siva to watch this serial. As Paulo Coelho once said 'Nothing in this world happens by chance'.

Each and every episode have a strong positive message to everyone of us. If you would like me to summaries the plot in every episode in a single line, "A small act of kindness can make a big difference in someone's life"It have given me a clear blue print about my mission on earth.

I felt as if the Hero Miles, is the reflection of my character in most of the scenes. Yes, he tries his BEST to do some positive impact in someone's life. He runs a podcast "The Millennial Prophet" likes me who runs a blog "The Happy Zen". Being an atheist, Miles talks in his podcast that God doesn't exists, however I write in my blog that God doesn't exist for the people who doesn't believe. He struggles a lot to increase his listeners for his podcast. However I doesn't care who reads my blog as I just want to transfer my thoughts to my blog so that my head disk is free.

A scientific study says that a person have approximately sixty thousand thoughts per day. In nutshell, less thoughts will have more happiness and peace of mind. You too can start Journaling in a blog or dairy, that will keep you calm and relaxed. Now you might know the answer why I write blog even though there is no big audience. However, I am really grateful for all the Divine souls,  who spend their valuable time in reading my blogs and appreciate my work.

I strongly believe that "You are what you see, hear and speak most of the time". So, only I stopped watching news before seven years. You can read more about my experience Switch OFF News and Switch ON LifeHowever, watching the "God Friended me" life transforming episodes will surely make a positive impact in your life. Please be informed that I am not responsible, if you step out of your home to help someone after watching these episodes.

God have sent a Friend request to you through me. Accepting or Rejecting His request is in your hands. God Friended Me. What about you ?

Note - You too can join my mission Donate a Meal to start making a positive difference is someone's life. You are born with the ability to change someone life, please give your life a chance.

Ola Cabs - Bhavish Aggarwal's Success Story

"Focus on solving real problems and not on making money. There will be enough takers for your solutions. You will help make lives of some people better and money will follow - Bhavish Aggarwal"

Bhavish Aggarwal is the CEO and founder of the most popular Ola cabs in India.

Bhavish Aggarwal was born in Ludhiana. On 2008, he completed his studies in IIT-B. He begins his career with Microsoft Research and worked for around 2 years. After he quits Microsft, he started olatrip.com to give customers customised tour packages.

However, the real turning point came when Bhavish was travelling from Bangalore to Bandipur in a Taxi. Driver have stopped the car in the middle of the journey and started negotiating the amount to be paid for the trip. When Bhavish doesn't agree for the proposal, he was dropped on the middle of the raod.

This incident have given the spark for Bhavish Aggarwal to start his own Ola taxi business. Ola was started in 2010 with a mission to give quality service with an affordable rate.

In the early days Bhavish did everything to make the customers happy. Indeed, he himself have taken the role of the driver and dropped the customer when the Ola driver didn't turn up ontime. It is this commitment and dedication by the founders and the team that made Ola a grand success.

Instead of buying cars, they have allowed the local Taxi drivers to attach to Ola and have introduced Mobile App for bookig cabs. Soon after it's launch, it was a grand success. Ola cabs charge a minimum of Rs.6 per KM which is less than a Auto and Ola share is charged approx at Rs.3 per Km.

Ola provide Taxi service for around 102 cities in India with over 1 million requests every day. It has around 350,000 vehicles serving 25 Million customers. It is valued over 5 Billion dollars currently. It is the market leader with 78% share.

Bhavish still doesn't own a car and uses cabs to move around. Bhavish Aggarwal have broken the groundrule that the Taxi must be hired only by the rich. He made Taxi ride a possible dream to every Indian.

I have written this article as I am also one of the happy customers of Ola cabs who commutes to office daily by Ola. I really love the quality of service and the business model.

Story of Bhavish Aggarwal teaches us that "If you put your best efforts on your dream and soon it will become a reality". The Happy Zen team wish all the very best and good luck for the Ola cabs and Bhavish Aggarwal.

Lamborghini - Real story of successful sportscar

Ferrucio Lamborghini was a simple man born to an Italian family who farmed grapes. However, his interest in Mechanics made him a successful Tractor manufacturer after the world war II. His tractor business became very successful reaching a rate of over 400 a month in 1960.

As a car lover, Ferrucio Lamborghini owned a number of sports cars including the Ferrari 250 GT. He was not happy with the performance of the clutch in his Ferrari as it uses the same clutch of his tractors.

Ferrucio Lamborghini visited Enzo Ferrari [ Owner of Ferrari ] and complained about the problem he was facing with the Ferrari.  Enzo Ferrari insulted Lamborghini and stated that “The problem is not with the car but with driver. You may be able to drive a tractor but you will never be able to handle a Ferrari properly.”

Ferrucio Lamborghini have taken it as an Open challenge to beat Ferrari.
He hired Ferrari’s ex-employees Giotto Bizzarini, Franco Scaglione, and Gian Paolo Dallara with a mission to make a luxurious and powerful GT engine car that would reach 150 mph. Lamborghini 350GT hit the market soon within a couple of months with powerful V12 engine and soon became a big hit.

As soon as Lamborghini opened the car manufacturing business, it started to give a strict competition to the market leader Ferrari. The Rest is history.

Moral of the Story :
It all goes to show that no matter how successful, always be humble and polite to everyone.

Kindness Act - Karthi's blissful experience at Malaysia

In the below post, I would like to share a blissful kindness experience from our happy zen friend Karthi.

"I wanted to share one of my nice experience in Malaysia.
Everyday while I go to office, I use mono rail & outside the station where I get down there sits a old lady with a bright face & some ear buds to sell. I used to give some money every day & she gives me the ear buds which I thank her & refuse to get it. Even for a few days together if she was not there, I feel sad & pray for her health.

It was Ramdan month & I wanted to gift her something like new dress. Since it is difficult to find a suiting traditional dress to her & am not too good in selection I decided to gift homemade cookies box, which is a practice there & ppl give this to their loved once during Ramadan. I got a few cookies box for her & to give to my office mates.

When I reached the station, I took out the box in my hand & walked towards her with joy. Once I gave her the box & said Salamat Adul fitri, she was so happy & touched my head & blessed me. I was so happy & satisfied which made my day. Though we were from different Country & relegion, we shared our joy & we both were blessed with the mother & son kind of love.

Though I happily gave her  money, there was a selfishness in it. That is if I help this old mother, my mom will be looked after well by someone back in India.....
Share whatever you can with love & you will be blessed for life. Thank you."

A bread to poor reaches God sooner than the bread that is offered to God. Even-though if you are not able to give bread or money to the poor, at-least give them your love and kindness. Smile to the Security guard in your office and home, give a surprise gift to your home maids, greet the house keeping person in the office with love. Small act of kindness will make a big difference in their lives.

Marvan Atapatu Inspiring Life Story

It’s a story that Harsha Bhogle, India’s most loved cricket commentator, loves to tell, over and over again. Making his debut in Test cricket for Sri Lanka, Marvan scored a duck in his first innings. And again, in his second innings.

They dropped him. So he went back to the nets for more practice. More first-class cricket. More runs. Waiting for that elusive call. And after twenty-one months, he got a second chance.

This time, he tried harder. His scores: 0 in the first innings, 1 in the second Dropped again, he went back to the grind. And scored tonnes of runs in first-class cricket. Runs that seemed inadequate to erase the painful memories of the Test failures. Well, seventeen months later, opportunity knocked yet again. Marvan got to bat in both innings of the Test. His scores: 0 and 0. Phew!

Back to the grind. Would the selectors ever give him another chance? They said he lacked big-match temperament. His technique wasn’t good enough at the highest level. Undaunted, Marvan kept trying.

Three years later, he got another chance. This time, he made runs. He came good. And in an illustrious career thereafter, Marvan went on to score over 5000 runs for Sri Lanka. That included sixteen centuries and six double hundreds. And he went on to captain his country. All this despite taking over six years to score his second run in Test cricket. Wow! What a guy!

How many of us can handle failure as well as he did? Six years of trying, and failing. He must have been tempted to pursue another career. Change his sport perhaps. Play county cricket. Or, oh well, just give up. But he didn’t. And that made the difference.

We all hear stories of talented people who gave up before their potential was realized. People who changed jobs and careers when success seemed elusive.

The next time you are staring at possible failure or rejection, think of Marvan. And remember this: If you don’t give up, if you believe in yourself, if you stay the course, the run will eventually come. What more you could even become captain some day.

TRY. TRY. TRY Until you SUCCEED.

The Apple Tree Story

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it every day. He climbed to the treetop,

ate the apples, and took a nap under the shadow. He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him.

Time went by, the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.

“Come and play with me”, the tree asked the boy.

Boy: “I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees anymore” the boy replied. “I want toys. I need money to buy them.”

Tree: “Sorry, but I do not have money, but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.”

The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited.

“Come and play with me” the tree said.

“I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?”

“Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.” So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily.

The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted.

“Come and play with me!” the tree said.

“I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” said the man.

“Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.”

So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years.

“Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you”, the tree said.

“No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite” the man replied.

Tree : “No more trunk for you to climb on.”

“I am too old for that now” the man said.

“I really cannot give you anything, the only thing left is my dying roots,” the tree said with tears.

“I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years,” the man replied.

“Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, come sit down with me and rest.” The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears.

This is a story of everyone. The tree is like our parents. When we were young, we loved to play with our Mum and Dad.

When we grow up, we leave them; only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble.

No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could just to make you happy.

You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents.

We take them for granted; we don’t appreciate all they do for us, until it’s too late.

~ Moral ~
Treat your parents with loving care…. For you will know their value, when you see their empty chair…

We never know the love of our parents for us; till we have become parents.

None of us truly wins, until we all win

There was a farmer who grew excellent quality corn. Every year he won the award for the best grown corn.
One year a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learned something interesting about how he grew it. The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbors. “How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they are entering corn in competition with yours each year?” the reporter asked.
“Why sir,” said the farmer, “Didn’t you know? The wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field. If my neighbours grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn. If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbours grow good corn.”
So is with our lives... Those who want to live meaningfully and well must help enrich the lives of others, for the value of a life is measured by the lives it touches. And those who choose to be happy must help others find happiness, for the welfare of each is bound up with the welfare of all...
-Call it power of collectivity...
-Call it a principle of success...
-Call it a law of life.
The fact is, none of us truly wins, until we all win!!
