ISKCON Bhagavad Gita Class - The Supreme Lord

I have attended the Bhagavad Gita class about Ishwar or The Supreme Lord at ISKCON Bangalore which is excellent and awesome. I am happy and  delighted to hear about the Supreme Lord. Below are some of the Key highlights from the class.

Five important areas in Bhagavad Gita : 

1. Ishvaar (God)
2. Jiiva ( Soul) 
3. Kaala ( Time) 
4. Prakruti ( Creation ) 
5. Karma 

Out of all these, Ishwar is more important as he is the controller of whole universe and all the other 4 things.

Qualities of God : 
As per Parashar Muni in Padma Purana, the definition of God is one who possess six qualities in full. Those are beauty, strength, knowledge renunciation, wealth, fame. There can be some people in this materialistic world where they may possess these qualities in part, but cannot have in full like Krishna.

Highlights of The Supreme Lord Class : 

• Our vedic scriptures have ocean of information about the universe, God, Law of Dharma, etc. 
• Bhagavad Gita is considered the nectar of the all wisdom contained in our Vedas and Upanishads.  
• Bhagavad Gita contains 18 Chapters and 700 Slokas. 
• Lord Krishna have told all the secrets in Bhagavad Gita about HIM to Arjuna, as Arjuna is not envious.
• Just by reading Bhagavad Gita and chanting the holynames of God one can free from the continous cycle of birth and death. 
• One can get answers for all their questions in Bhagavad Gita. 
• If you BELIEVE and TRUST in God, he will help you to solve your problems at any cost.
• God is more wiser than anyone else in this world. 
• Everything in this universe runs in an orderly fashion including our life which is controlled by Karma. 
• Everyone should walk in the path of Dharma as quoted in our scriptures. 
• As per Law of Karma, if you do good, you will get good. So always Be Good, Think Good and Do Good. 
• There are around 84 lakh species in this world and only human form is considered as superior, as only humans can do Bhakti and reach salvation. 
• So please utilise this opportunity to chant the holynames of Lord to reach the lotus feet of God. 
• Krishna means happiness. Whomsoever talks about Krishna, thinks about krishna, chant the holynames of Krishna becomes happy. It is a promise from Lord HIMSELF.
• To every creation there is a creator. Supreme Lord Krishna have created this whole universe. Newton strongly believed in the existence of God as there is order in the universe. 

Things To-Do :

• Chant the holynames of Lord ( Kirtanam ) 
• Associate with devotees.
• Visit temple atleast once in week to have Deity Dharshan. 
• Attend Bhagavad Gita or Bhagavadham class ( Swaranam ).
• Engage in the activities that pleases Lord Krishna. 
• Do Seva ( Service ) to Lord. 

One can become happy just by chanting the holy-names of Lord.
