It is told that if you throw a small stone in Bangalore, it
will fall on an IT Professional. Yes it might fall on me as well, as I am also
in Bangalore. I am a proud IT professional, working in a South Korean MNC.
I replied politely 'OK Madam' and hung up.

25th Jan 2019 :
It was a beautiful Friday afternoon in my office, I was busy
preparing my presentation material for next month’s HQ workshop at Seoul, South
Korea.
It was around 12.30 PM, I got a Skype message in which Arun has written
"Let's Start for Lunch..."
As usual I replied in Skype "Let's start after 5
minutes and meet you in the reception area".
Both of us met at the office reception and started walking
towards SLV Andhra mess near to our office. I am a big fan of Andhra meals
which is served with Spicy Dhal. Usually we pay Rs.70 for unlimited meals and finish eating only after
ensuring there is no space left in the stomach. Even the server will serve the
food with love. It will remind you those days when you were in your in-laws’
house for the "Thala Diwali" ( First Diwali) after marriage.
On the way back to office, we both started discussing about
the recent Novel "You are the Best Wife" written by Ajay K Pandey and
how it has changed our perception about wife, sorry life.
Arun told me 'Last Sunday, I took my wife to Commercial
Street after eight years of my marriage, Just because she likes shopping and want to spend quality time with him'.
I responded 'Yes, even I used to complain a lot about my
wife. Now I am happy that I am having someone at least to fight with'.
Arun gave his signature smile as usual, which only his wife
can understand.
At 1.30 PM, I reached my beautiful cubicle which is decorated with
Inspirational and Motivational quotes. I was feeling little drowsy,
as my body has directed most of the blood to my stomach to digest the
food. Sitting on my chair comfortably, I closed my eyes and started
observing my breath.
After sometime, I have picked up my ceramic cup and walked
to the cafeteria to have a cup of hot water. I have read somewhere that sipping
hot water can ease digestion. So I wanted to give it a try. Yes, it really worked and helped my digestion.
I came back to my seat and became busy with my workshop
material preparation. Usually the workshop will be for two days and my session
will be for approximately 2 hours, for which I need to spend at least 2 months to
prepare the material day and night. So, I don't like attending Workshop.
Exactly at 3.00 PM, I got a Skype message from my Lunch & Tea Group and it was Manu who typed as 'Coffee?'. We got 4 to 5 'Yes' messages as
though all were desperate for a break.
Sometimes a cup of coffee and a gang of 4 to 5 friends is
all that you need to forget your worries and stress.
Our office have MDP coffee counter in sixth floor. When I entered the Cafeteria, the aroma of Coffee welcomed me. I too joined the gang of five people who are already busy discussing. I dipped my Tulsi Tea bag in a cup of hot water and started sipping it slowly silently watching the happenings.

Varun as usual started pulling Abhijith with his big smile.
Varun asked 'Abhijith, why do you give preference only for Girls in your QuickRide' and smiled sarcastically.
Abhijith is a strong believer of the slogan 'Live to Drive' and
have a beautiful blue Volkswagen Vento.
The saint inside Abhijith replied innocently, 'I am doing a
social service of dropping the Girls safely at their doorsteps, in which I feel
a sense of satisfaction'.
Deepak too joined the conversation (I should rightly call as
pulling) and asked Abhijith, 'Why don't you get that satisfaction, by dropping
the Men safely at their doorsteps?'.
Ajay smiled and told 'Men are always Men'.Everyone of us, burst out laughing and the whole eyes in the cafeteria were on us.
Abhijith is a Gentleman and I didn't like everyone targeting Abhijith, so I told them that let's finish this topic and get back to
work. We should do some work for the salary that credits every month. Everyone
acknowledged and we started walking towards our respective cubicles.
In my cubicle, I continued my HQ Workshop material
preparation. When the clock ticked 5.30 PM, I shut down my laptop and rushed to
catch my bus to home. I have got strict orders from my wife to come home early, to take care of our three year old son Krishna, who doesn't stand in a single place even for a second.
I reached home by 6.30 pm after sailing through the snail
phase moving Bangalore traffic. I rang the calling bell and my wife opened the door wearing the
beautiful Yellow dress that, I gifted for her birthday. She always wears
pink as it is her favorite color. However, Yellow is my favorite color. I was
surprised on seeing the change of color. She gave me a big smile and politely
asked me to handover my office bag.
My son Krishna was sitting on his little blue
chair and enjoying the Song ‘Vachindamma Vachindamma’ from the Telugu movie
Geetha Govindam. On seeing the song, I was thinking this will happen only in
movies and not in real life. ( If you haven't watched this song, please pause
reading further and watch this song in YouTube. Even though you don't know
Telugu, you can get the message through it's beautiful choreography. It has a
small connection to my story).
As soon as I rested on the chair, she started massaging my shoulders for five minutes. Feeling pity that her hand will pain, I asked her to stop and thanked her.
She handed over the hot vegetable soup that she made and
told me that she has prepared my favorite Chapati and Vegetable Kurma for
dinner.
I was taken back by one more surprise, as she usually
prepares Idli or Dosa for Dinner. I used to feel that she usually toss the coin,
and if it is heads, she will prepare Idli and if it is tails, then she prepares
Dosa. But today I got my favorite Chapati for Dinner.
She handed me a paper and asked me to write five Wish list
that I would like her to fulfill this Year. I was once again surprised by her
behavior.
I asked her directly, 'Are You OK? What happened to
You?'
My wife replied 'I have read the book 'The Five love languages'
written by Gary Chapman and it is the reason for my positive transformation. I
promise that I will be following all the principles written in the book from
now-onwards'.
I went to my Prayer room and thanked Lord Krishna whole heartily that my prayers were finally answered after five years of my
marriage. It seems Lord Krishna has taken my prayers seriously.
Suddenly, I got a phone call with the ringtone 'Inkem Inkem
Kavale..' and it was showing the name "Wife". I was little surprised
that why she is calling me, when I am also at home.
I rubbed my eyes and rotated my face 180 degrees and I
realized that I am in my office cubicle and the time was 2.00 PM in the
afternoon. It has taken me few seconds to realize that I had a colorful dream
after my heavy Andhra meals.
Over the phone my wife told, 'Hello Daddy, Our Wet grinder
is to be repaired, so please buy Idli/Dosa batter while coming home today
evening. I hope you will eat Idli tonight right?' She asked me affectionately.
Idli is the one thing that I hate the most, as I eat it
almost daily. Even if I say "No", anyways she will prepare only Idli. So I
decided to say "Yes", so that I will feel happy that I have taken the
decision.
I told 'Yes Madam'.
She usually calls me as Daddy mimicking my kid, when she needs some favor or
work to be done. I use to call her Madam inspired by the Telugu Movie Geetha
Govindam.
She also instructed that, "I have added 5 dresses in
your Amazon Wish list as per your request yesterday, please order that
today without fail".
I hope I don't want to tell you that, the dresses are selected that have five different flavors of Pink.
I hope I don't want to tell you that, the dresses are selected that have five different flavors of Pink.
She completely misunderstood, what I told her about to write
her Wish list based on the book "The Five love languages". Now, I don't have any other option but to tell Yes.
I replied politely 'OK Madam' and hung up.
In my cubicle, I saw a photo in which, Goddesses Lakshmi is
pressing the feet of Lord Vishnu. It seems as if, HE is smiling at me. I just
told smilingly Om Namo Narayana'.
